Ticket reservations are purchased for each event and every effort is made to balance the ratio of men to women. Purchased tickets are "final sale" and nonrefundable. If you are unable to attend the event for which you purchased a ticket, we cannot give credit towards another event. Should it become necessary for Learning Escapes for Singles to cancel an event, ticket costs will be refunded to registered participants.
Exceptions to this policy cannot be made for any reason, including weather, traffic, illness, lack of event directions/pertinent info, missed carpool connections, or personal emergencies. There is no ticket refund for arriving late or leaving an event early.
RESCHEDULED EVENTS: On rare occasions it is necessary for Learning Escapes to reschedule an event. Please be certain to double check dates for events in our weekly newsletter or on our website. Deadline for requests for ticket refunds for rescheduled events must be made within 5 days after notice of the rescheduled event. We do not give credit towards another event. EMAIL RESCHEDULE REFUND REQUESTS TO carol@learningescapes.net. You will receive a refund request acknowledgment via email. Please note that the refund request is not valid without the Learning Escapes acknowledgement.
NOTE: It is the responsibility of registrants to check the Learning Escapes webpage no later than three hours before an event on the day of an activity prior to leaving - in case of activity changes or relocation due to weather or other circumstances above and beyond our control. Refunds are not given in cases where registrants do not take responsibility to check their email messages or notify us in advance of events if they can't arrive at an adjusted location.
Travel Trip Cancellations/Refunds
Cancellations are very costly and usually do not occur in time for resale of the canceled tour. Cancellation notices MUST be received in writing (please do not email). Mail to Learning Escapes, P.O. Box 1902, Germantown, Maryland 20874. Should you cancel your reservation, the following fees will be charged. If you have purchased Cancellation/Interruption Insurance, these cancellation fees may be refunded by the insurance company after your claim has been approved. Upon notifying us of your intent to cancel, you will be given a confirmation number that verifies your cancellation.
Airline tickets are subject to the refund or revision policies of the air carrier. Learning Escapes cannot assume responsibility for any additional costs/fees relating to the issuance and/or cancellation of air tickets or other travel arrangements not made through Learning Escapes.
Learning Escapes or their representative reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a tour with fewer than 8 travelers. In this situation, Learning Escapes may offer travelers a choice: cancellation of tour without any penalties or payment of a small-group supplement. Learning Escapes or their representatives reserve the right to cancel an extension with fewer than 8 travelers.
